As a tribute to its most celebrated owner, Michelangelo Buonarroti, Nittardi maintains and still loves this close link with art.

Every year since 1981 an international artist has created the label and a tissue paper wrapping for a limited number of bottles of Casanuova di Nittardi, a Chianti Classico sought by collectors worldwide. Celebrated contemporary artists such as Tadini, Adami, Hundertwasser, Corneille, Janssen, Mitoraj, A.R. Penck, Yoko Ono, Tomi Ungerer, Guenter Grass and Dario Fo have created special labels and wrapping for Casanuova di Nittardi.
Chianti Classico, Casanuova di Nittardi, is also an emblem of the way wine is seen at Nittardi: a process of high professionalism which unfolds like life, with creative and meditative impulses. Wine means Culture with a capital C, like Art, Film and Poetry.

Based on passion and collector’s love, the garden of sculptures has grown and expanded to a great collection at Nittardi. The collection today includes Artworks among the others from Friedensreich Hundertwasser, Igor Mitoraj, Horst Antes, Miguel Berrocal, Victor Roman, Dietrich Klinge, Raymond Waydelich, Giuliano Ghelli, Heiner Meyer and Paul Wunderlich and a collection of over 15 lions that welcome the guests and visitors at Nittardi.
