The Castello Sonnino of Baron Alessandro de Renzis Sonnino is located in the heart of picturesque Chianti DOCG region of Montespertoli. The estate includes 200 hectares of land, of which 45 are planted with vines.
This Vinsanto is a fine dessert wine pressed from Trebbiano and Malvasia grapes. The grapes are harvested by hand and then hung and left to dry for about 90 days, during which they lose about a third of their weight. After the pressing and cellaring, the wine is left to ripen for 48 months in small oak barrels.
